WAI Annual Meeting - February 23 - 26, 2011

SCHEDULE (Tentative / Under Construction) (Sessions)

Background

At long last, on Saturday Feburary 26, 2011, the Wingtip-to-Wingtip Association will meet at the 2011 Annual WAI Conference in Reno to more formally undertake our responsibilities as your legacy organization, to consider the ways in which we can support any on-going WASP gatherings and activities as well as to fulfill our mission to protect the history of the WASP. As a WASP or a WASP trainee, you are a member. All other members are family or approved by nomination. 8 WASP have already registered and there are still plenty of rooms for anyone who wants to attend at the excellent rates negotiated by WAI - $89 for regular rooms / $115 for a suite.

At the Reno meeting, we are joining with two organizations which the WASP have either created or strongly supported over the years, The WOMAN MILITARY AVIATORS and the WOMEN IN AVIATION INTERNATIONAL, and gathering at their annual meeting, this year in Reno, Nevada between February 23 and 26, 2011. 8 WASP have already registered and there are still plenty of rooms for anyone who wants to attend at the excellent rates negotiated by WAI - $89 for regular rooms / $115 for a suite. By special arrangement with the WAI, all membership and event fees for WASP have been waived, and the only additional costs, other than transportation, would be the meal or special events costs for the WASP or family members who may be able to attend (see enclosed form), approximating @$165 for all meals and the reception. Current and retired military personnel will be assisting as escorts for the WASP as they have in the past.
